The Houston Community College Fire Training Academy (HCCFTA)
is a well-regarded fire service educational institution within Texas and throughout the nation. The HCCFTA develops
and provides accredited fire service training for all recognized levels of fire service training for all public and private
sector first responders. HCCFTA utilizes some of our nation's best fire service instructors to deliver programs
that meet and in many cases exceed national and internationally recognized standards.
OUR MISSION
The Houston Community College System Fire Technology Department is an open-admission,
public institution of higher education offering associate degrees, certificates, academic preparation, workforce training
and lifelong learning opportunities that prepare individuals in our diverse communities for life and work in an increasing
