Basic
Commission FireFighter Course
Introduction:
The
Houston Community College System is certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection as a licensed
Fire Fighter training academy. Graduates receive 26 college credits and classes are offered only at
the Northeast campus. Day, night and online classes are available

This program is designed to be
taken in the classroom and also covers all necessary curriculum requirements
of NFPA 1002 (Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional qualifications, and TCFP).
